One of the focal points of my field site would most likely be the connection between the teachers and their students. Many people don't simply judge a teacher by what they learned, but by the connection they have felt and responded to from that teacher. Teachers have to be careful as to how close they get to students because they want it to remain on a professional level and not allow for any personal feelings to get in the way of the teaching process, such as giving better grades simply because someone has a rougher home life.
